Programme Introduction

The FL Dublin Culture programme is aimed at an older age bracket of student, 17 to 20 years old. This age group still seeks a summer programme experience but are too old to be mixed with junior students, for this reason we have created the perfect solution.
You can choose between high quality residential accommodation or choose to stay with a friendly Irish host family.
On weekends and evenings you can explore everything the capital city and its surroundings has to offer.

Included in Dublin Residential Cultural Programme:

  • 15 hours of lessons per week
  • 3 afternoon activities per week
  • 7 evening activities per week
  • 1 full-day Saturday excursion per week
  • Sunday is a student leisure day
  • residential accommodation
  • full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Accommodation Options

Residential

Dublin city centre has many fine student residential options to offer international students. FL uses only the best quality student accommodation in the city. Students can walk to school or use their provided travel pass (unlimited use of the bus, train and city tram). Residential accommodation allows the freedom of being close to your friends and living in the centre of Dublin city throughout your stay with us.

Host Family

We pride ourselves on the great service which our host families provide to our visiting students and leaders. At FL we work with our families not only during the peak summer months but year round for our mini-stay and group programmes, no other language school knows their host families better than us! If taking the host family programme you will be provided with a travel pass (unlimited use of the bus, train and city tram) to get to and from school each day. Note that host families are mainly located on the northside of Dublin.

Afternoon Activities

For this culture programme we offer five afternoon activities which take place after lessons each day. Students will travel to these places of interest with FL staff and use public transport and the supplied travel pass. A sample which includes;

  • Howth Fishing Village
  • Malahide Village and Castle
  • Sandycove and Bray with James Joyce Tower
  • Dundrum Shopping Centre
  • Croke Park GAA and Museum
  • National History Museum
  • Traditional Irish Dancing
