Athlone, Ireland 2020 STEAM Programme Details
Athlone is a Viking town with a population of 22,000 people, it is located on the beautiful River Shannon near the southern shore of Lough Ree.
This location offers one of our amazing STEAM language programmes. The programme offers high quality host family accommodation along with the chance to study in one of Ireland’s most incredible school buildings. Athlone is near the geographical centre of Ireland and this allows for a wide variety of full day excursion options.
Athlone is not just a summer location for FL, all year round we run mini-stays and group programmes in this area. This has allowed us to develop a network of dedicated and excellent host families who truly care about their visiting students. No other language school knows their host families better than us! If taking the host family programme in Athlone you have the added bonus of your host family driving you to and from school each day. The majority of our families live outside the town but for those living in the town they can walk directly to the school. We always encourage our students to begin the conversation with their host family before arriving to Ireland.
